Spectators and participants at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT will have an opportunity to purchase a new portrait of Paul Newman with the number 33 Datsun race car he drove at Lime Rock in the 1970’s.
 

The vintage festival event at the track will be held over the Labor Day weekend with sale of the portrait to begin Friday, September 3rd and end September 6th.

Award-winning New Milford artist Chris Osborne, nationally renown for her paintings of celebrities and their cars combines her love of the automobile, her knowledge of music, her appreciation of celebrity and her respect for the past to create a genre which is unique in today’s art world.

The large scale (36” x 44”) Newman portrait will be sold to benefit Survive the Drive®, a not-for-profit organization that teaches automotive safety and survival to drivers of all ages, but with focus on teens. Presenter, Bob Green, race car driver and instructor at the Skip Barber Racing School at Lime Rock Park, has presented programs to over 15,000 high school students throughout CT, MA and NY during the 2009 – 2010 school year, 70,000 since 1996.
